The ultimate family day out. On 600 hectares of nature you'll find 14 playgrounds, outdoor swimming pools, two museums and kilometres of walking paths.

What you can do

  • 14 playgrounds — from the pirate playground 'Bout du Monde' to the Hobbit hut
  • Outdoor swimming pools (summer)
  • 10 walking trails through 600 hectares of nature
  • Two museums
  • Gardens with remarkable trees and sculptures
  • Activities for schools and groups

Why we recommend it

Children won't want to leave. Literally. Plan a full day — there's plenty to do. The combination of playgrounds, nature and swimming pools makes this the ideal trip for families staying at ArdenNest, especially in changeable weather or with mixed ages in the group.

Tip

Ask us about discount vouchers — we sometimes have them!

From ArdenNest

A 30-minute drive towards Ciney/Rochefort. Combine optionally with a visit to other attractions in the area.

Practical

July and August are busy — arrive early to grab a quiet spot near a playground. Outside the summer season it's wonderfully quiet and you can almost have the domain to yourselves. Don't forget swimwear if the pools are open (May to September, weather permitting). Bringing a packed lunch is a good idea — there's a cafeteria, but for a full day a picnic is more practical and cheaper. The domain is fully child-friendly: prams and scooters are no problem on most paths.

Suitable from a few months old up to about 12 years; older children can still enjoy a day there, but the focus is more on younger visitors.
