- The Citadel — Reach the fortress by cable car or via 408 steps. Panoramic views over the Meuse valley. Inside, a museum about Dinant's history and both World Wars.
- The Collegiate Church — The distinctive pear-shaped bell tower is Dinant's icon. Free to visit.
- Adolphe Sax — The inventor of the saxophone was born here in 1814. His birthplace is a museum. Colourful saxophone statues line the streets.
- The Meuse — Boat trips to Anseremme or Freÿr. Kayaking on the Lesse.
- Shopping and dining — Charming shopping streets, ice cream parlours and brasseries along the Meuse.
With children
The cable car is an experience in itself. At the citadel there's a playground and an interactive museum. Afterwards, an ice cream by the Meuse — children are happy.

Combine Dinant with the Anseremme-Gendron train walk. You walk along the Lesse and end up in Dinant.
