E-bike rental in Gedinne: Arde-Bike e-MTBs
Guests regularly ask us where they can rent electric bikes without driving half an hour first. Recently the answer became simple: in Gedinne itself. Arde-Bike rents e-mountain bikes ten minutes from ArdenNest — we happily point our guests their way.
What Arde-Bike offers
Arde-Bike is a small-scale rental with about ten Cube e-mountain bikes with Bosch motors, including an electric kids' model. A Garmin Edge GPS with the routes can be rented as an extra (€20). The five routes run from 20 to 45 kilometres through the forests around Gedinne. You set off straight from the village onto forest tracks and gravel roads.
The 5 routes: from beginner to expert
Arde-Bike offers five routes of its own, all starting in Gedinne, so you can pick what suits the group (figures from Arde-Bike's routes page):
- Route 1 — beginner, 19.6 km, 446 m of climbing, about 2 h
- Route 2 — beginner, 23.5 km, 553 m of climbing, about 2 h
- Route 3 — intermediate, 28.7 km, 623 m of climbing, about 2.5 h
- Route 4 — expert, 36.1 km, 799 m of climbing, about 3 h
- Route 5 — expert, 45.1 km, 1,146 m of climbing, about 4 h
The motor makes the climbs doable, but this is still mountain biking on forest tracks. With children or less experienced riders, start with route 1 or 2.
Where to ride
The area around Gedinne is made for e-bikes: long climbs, little traffic, lots of forest. A few of our favourites:
- The Croix-Scaille and the Tour du Millénaire — the highest point in the region, with the lookout tower above the treetops.
- The old railway line 163 — with its disused tunnel on the route towards Bertrix, about ten minutes by bike from the house.
- The Semois valley — towards Vresse and Bohan, with the finest panoramas in the region.

- Book well in advance, especially in high season. Riding with a large group? Ask for confirmation of the number of available bikes first.

The fleet counts about ten bikes. In our experience a whole group rarely rents at once. If you do need many bikes, ask for confirmation by phone first.
Can you have bikes delivered to the holiday house?
Arde-Bike is a ten-minute drive away. For delivery to the door: La Balade de Sim and Cap Semois bring bikes to ArdenNest and collect them afterwards.
