    The route

The path follows the old railway line along the Meuse, from Dinant (Anseremme) to Givet in France. About 20 km one way, so 40 km return. But you don't have to cycle the whole route — you can turn around at any point.

    Highlights along the way

    • Along the Meuse — The path runs right beside the river, with beautiful views
    • Château de Freÿr — Halfway you pass this stunning castle with baroque gardens
    • Hastière — Charming village with terraces for a break
    • Givet (FR) — The endpoint in France, with the impressive Fort de Charlemont

    Practical

    • Paved path, suitable for any bike (including children's bikes and bike trailers)
    • Completely flat — no elevation
    • Drinking water and toilets along the way in villages
    • Bring your own bikes or rent from La Balade de Sim
